Giancarlo Torpiano currently forms part of a London-based multi-disciplinary engineering team which collaborates with many leading and emerging architectural practices. He is specialised in parametric design and dealing with complex three-dimensional geometries. Since joining Arup in 2014, he has worked on a wide range of different project typologies, ranging from stadia and sports architecture, to museums and other cultural buildings. He has also collaborated with Antony Gormley Studio on a range of sculptures. Giancarlo is a chartered member of the InstitutionĀ of Structural Engineers, and the Institution of Civil Engineers. He also sits on the IStructE Digital Workflows and Computational Design Panel. He studied Architecture and Engineering at the University of Malta, before completing a Master's degreeĀ at the AA in Emergent Technology and Design.
