Sinead is a structural engineer and the cofounder of Simple Works and Scale Rule CIC. A mathematically minded engineer with a strong social conscience, she cares deeply about the world we live in and all of those in it and it’s her mission to use her analytical and communication skills to build a more inclusive and beautiful place for all. She is interested in alternative building materials and geometry optimisation and would like to see the industry come together to push for better construction methods to respond to the current climate crisis.
Sinead studied Civil Engineering at NUI Galway and Applied Mathematics at Imperial College London. She has worked on large London projects including Six Pancras Square and One Nine Elms as well as Google San Francisco and Al Fayah Park in Abu Dhabi.
When Sinead isn’t busy putting the world to rights she can be found in the pool or at the track training for her next silly endurance event.
